Terms

Plain terms, honestly stated.

SermonRecap is operated by an individual, not a company. By using the site you accept what’s below. It is short on purpose. Last updated 20 August 2026.

What the service is

You bring a sermon — a YouTube link or a recording — and SermonRecap transcribes it and produces a summary, key points, questions and suggested applications. It is free, and there is no paid tier to unlock.

It is a study companion, not a commentary and not a source of doctrine. It stays close to what the preacher said and does not set out to correct anyone.

What it can't promise

Recaps are produced by automated transcription and a language model, and they get things wrong. Words are misheard, meaning is flattened, scripture references can be misattributed. Check anything that matters against the sermon itself before repeating it, teaching from it, or quoting a preacher as having said it.

The service is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, and may change or stop at any time. Nothing here is legal, financial, medical or pastoral advice.

What you're responsible for

Only bring material you have the right to bring. Uploading a recording means confirming you may lawfully do so — you made it, you have permission, or it is public. Don’t use the service to break the law, to infringe someone’s copyright, or to overwhelm it with automated traffic.

You keep whatever rights you already hold in what you upload and in the notes you write. Using the service grants only the permission needed to run it: to store your material, send it to the processors listed in the privacy policy, and show the result back to you.

Remember that a recap page can be opened by anyone holding its link. That is described in full in the privacy policy, and it is worth understanding before you paste one anywhere.

Copyright

If you believe something here infringes your copyright, write to carterprice2+sermonrecap@gmail.com with the link and who you represent. Material will be removed promptly while it is looked into.

Gifts

Donations keep the service free for the next person. They are voluntary, they buy no feature, and no part of the site is withheld from someone who never gives.

SermonRecap is not a registered charity or nonprofit, and gifts are not tax-deductible. They are gifts to the individual who runs it, and no receipt for tax purposes can be issued. The words “ministry” and “gift” on this site describe its purpose, not a legal charitable status.

Payments are handled by Stripe under Stripe’s terms. A monthly partnership can be cancelled at any time from the manage link on the support page, and it stops at the end of the period already paid for. A gift given by mistake will be refunded if you ask.

Accounts

You can use the site without one. If you make an account, keep your sign-in to yourself. Either of us may close it at any time; ask and yours will be deleted along with its contents.

Changes and questions

These terms may change; the date above changes with them, and continuing to use the site means the new version applies. Anything unclear, ask on the contact page and you’ll get a real answer.
